Solkarn helps turn your business idea into a researched, organized path for getting started. We begin by learning about your specific idea, location, budget, timeline, resources and goals. From there, we determine what areas need to be researched and organize the applicable findings into a personalized startup roadmap. Depending on your business, that may include registrations, licenses and permits, location considerations, startup costs, equipment, inventory, suppliers, technology, staffing, funding resources when relevant, customer considerations and launch preparation.

Absolutely. Solkarn isn't selling access to information that you're incapable of finding yourself. What you're paying for is the research, organization, verification and sequencing involved in figuring out which information actually applies to your particular business and turning it into a path you can follow. If you'd rather research and organize everything yourself, you may not need a Solkarn roadmap.

Yes. AI can be extremely useful for brainstorming and research. But an AI answer by itself shouldn't automatically be treated as proof that a license is required, a fee is current, a grant exists, a particular business structure is best, or a local rule applies to you. Solkarn uses a research process designed to distinguish between information that has been verified, information that still needs confirmation, recommendations, professional decisions and things you may not need yet. We're not selling you access to AI. We're selling you an organized research and decision process.

No. If you're considering several ideas and need help deciding what makes the most sense to pursue first, the Business Direction Session may be a better starting point. If you already know what you want to start, you can move toward the Personalized Startup Roadmap.

Because businesses vary significantly in complexity. An online business operating from home may require considerably less research than a physical-location business involving zoning, specialized equipment, employees, inspections and multiple licenses. Rather than increasing everyone's price to cover the most complicated cases, Solkarn determines the scope after reviewing your intake. You'll know the price before the roadmap research begins. The Personalized Startup Roadmap also includes one 60-minute Roadmap Review Session after the roadmap is completed.

Turnaround depends on the business and the amount of research required. After reviewing your intake and determining the scope, Solkarn will provide an estimated delivery timeframe before the roadmap project begins.

No. A roadmap can improve organization and help you make more informed decisions, but no consultant can legitimately guarantee that a business will become profitable or successful. Market conditions, execution, customer demand, finances, competition and many other factors remain outside Solkarn's control.

No. When appropriate, Solkarn may identify funding resources worth investigating, but we cannot guarantee eligibility, approval, award amounts or funding availability. We also don't recommend starting a business based solely on the assumption that grant money will become available.

No. Solkarn provides business research, organization, startup planning and implementation guidance. When your roadmap raises an issue requiring legal, tax, accounting, insurance, lending, investment, occupational licensing or another regulated professional determination, we'll identify it and recommend that you confirm it with the appropriate qualified professional or agency.

Solkarn can research the applicable process, provide official resources and, depending on the service purchased, guide you through appropriate administrative startup steps. We do not provide legal advice or make legal decisions on your behalf. If your situation requires advice about entity structure, ownership, liability, contracts, taxation or another legal matter, we may recommend speaking with an attorney or other appropriate professional.

We'll tell you. That doesn't necessarily mean abandoning the business. We may identify a smaller launch version, different timeline, lower-cost approach or something that should be validated before you spend more money. And sometimes the most useful recommendation may be to wait before spending. Solkarn's job isn't to tell every client that every idea is perfect.

Yes. That's deliberately part of the Solkarn approach. If something doesn't appear necessary at your current stage — or can reasonably wait until the business has validated demand or generated revenue — we want to identify that. A useful roadmap shouldn't only tell you where to spend money. It should help you avoid unnecessary spending too.

Your Personalized Startup Roadmap includes one 60-minute Roadmap Review Session so we can walk through the research, priorities and next steps together and answer questions about the roadmap. After that, you have choices. You can take the roadmap and work through it yourself. Or you can purchase additional Solkarn support to help you understand and work through appropriate steps. For clients who want greater involvement, Hands-On Startup Support may also be available under a separately defined scope. Your roadmap belongs to your startup process. Continuing with Solkarn after the included review session is optional.

Solkarn can research and organize the startup path for many types of businesses, but we won't claim expertise or accept an engagement before determining whether the business is within our research and support capabilities. Highly specialized or heavily regulated businesses may require significant involvement from licensed professionals, specialized consultants or government agencies. We'll identify those limitations rather than pretending Solkarn can replace them.
